Mama Agnes Ochilo Foundation is a Non-Profit, Non-Governmental and Non-Political Organization registered in Kenya under the society’s act.

Migori County is a county in the former Nyanza Province of southwestern Kenya. It borders Homa Bay County to the north, Kisii County to the northeast, Narok County to the southeast, Tanzania to the west and south and Lake Victoria to the west. Migori county also borders Uganda via Migingo Island in Lake Victoria. The county is headquartered by Migori town.  It is made up of 40 administrative wards and 8 sub counties. At the 2019 census, Migori County had a population of 1,116,436, almost 200,000 more than the 917,170 recorded in 2009

It’s composed of individuals from diverse social and cultural backgrounds, with almost half the tribes in Kenya living in Migori. Many people are faced with diverse life-threatening conditions considering its poverty index of about 19.4% according to PubMed Central, 2021. Having traversed Migori county before and during the August 2022 Political Campaign period, Dr. Agnes Ochilo, who is spouse to the current Migori County Governor and the founder of the Mama Agnes Ochilo Foundation, became very passionate about changing the lives of various people faced with diverse life-threatening conditions in the county.

The foundation advocates for the total upliftment of many deprived persons in Migori County through partnerships with various organizations, donors and well-wishers. The foundation works by organizing different campaigns tailored towards solving particular life challenges within its scope.
